Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many awards and grants. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims by the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
